THE OWNERS of a popular B&B on the NC500 are taking part in a major Channel 4 reality show.


Stephen and Margaret Munro, who have been married for almost 50 years, run the Clachan Garden in Lochbroom, near Ullapool.

And the couple can be seen this week Four in a bed takes a tour of branches across Scotland.


And first there is the cozy B&B just five minutes from the iconic NC500 route.


Thousands come there every year the 516 mile route to witness the breathtaking scenery and the beauty of the Highlands.


The couple has spent the past two years renovating the 20-year-old house.


Stephen said: “Clachan Garden is a rural B&B and what we have tried to create is a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere.”


Margaret added: “People say it feels like you’re at home, and they love it.”


The couple are joined by Graham Fraser from Highland Premier Glamping Pods in Kiltarlity, friends Sandie Donaldson and Chloe Watson from Cultybraggan Camp in Comrie, Perthshire and couple James and Neil Smith from the Upplemore Hotel near Glasgow.


Clachan Garden has four B&B rooms for £160 per night including breakfast.


While inspecting the rooms, James and Neil said they found some dust on a lamp and hair in the bathtub.


And in the morning, Graham said he slept “terribly” because of the dripping water from the shower during the night.

The majority of the group also disagreed with the House’s shoe ban.


However, they did compliment the “homely” and “cosy” feeling the house provides for guests.


Two of the three guests said they wouldn’t stay again, friends Sandie and Chloe said they would.


Graham said that “sleep is the most important thing” and decided not to return due to his lack of sleep.


James and Neil said their decision was due to cleanliness and the shoe ban.


The show airs all week at 5pm on Channel 4.
